Exfoliating the skin: how much is too much. If u buy a hard product you can tear off the old skin -- which is what an exfoliator is supposed to do. But if u continue with that so much you may end up damaging the young/fresh skin from developing or protecting you. This thins the skin, making it very sensitive, gives that blurry red look that makes you look funny (Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer!). So judicious use of the exfoliator, contrary to what the manufacturers say on the product? How do I know? Went for a facial and the beautician told me I had damaged my skin quite substantially with my over-enthusiasm! The red glow I thought I had did not come from my forward bend, but my skin being severely damaged!! Blah!
