The wrong way of holding the headstand -- with feet too much in the front and the heel-knee-hip-shoulders not forming a plumb line could create the following problems: cervical spondylosis, high blood pressure and worse, a paunch:) I also believe secretly that those who hold it hard are usually boosting their ego into stratospheric heights and that spiritually, though they do get a high from their practice, have fallen all the way down.
