According to the Livestrong site foods that help heal after knee injury include lots of fruits and red/bright/dark green colored vegetables, for the vitamin C content. Plus protein foods, even meat (do u know ayurveda recommends meat for vata dosha) for high zinc content, need for wound healing.

Felt bad to learn about your injury.Wishing you a fast recovery.
You have suggested some measures for an injured knee.But do they apply on knee pain which happens without any injury but age related.
