Answer and query: Kundalini pose

Answer: The ardha matysendrasana is referred to as the kundalini stoking pose because it covers the entire spine most completely. It combines the two facets of yoga -- flexibility as well as strenght (u need to have stamina to last in the pose longer) and completes the sense of Shiva and Shakti, and the female and male aspect of your practice. In this vein, too, it is a pose which challenges both sides of your body, harmonising these two principles that may be antagonistic in many, except a special sadhaka.:)

Query: What is the beej mantra for the heart center?
Tomorrow, the answer, as usual.
