If u did not eat kelp, did not relish mussels, salmon, prawnsm mackeral  where will u get your iodine dose from? From Onions!! The iodine in onions (and also milk as the other, limited source of iodine) is an energy booster. That is why, down south, some high-caste communities sniff at onion -- a rajasic food. But what the heck! Onion chutney, here I come:)
