How to fall in the scorpion: from a headstand

This is a more scary fall, since often it happens when the back is straight and technically unprepared from a curved sweep and fall. This can contract your muscles, which is what causes any hurt, if at all. However, if in that split second as you fall, u decide to drop your feet, keep your back up, you have saved yourself a hard fall on your upper back or your butt.

That split second I am talking about -- it is a quantum space -- suddenly over the confusion and static in your brain, if you have given the right cues, you will find time expand:) It really does:) Then u can break your fall with control... that is how kids break falls, because they are naturally fearless and have decided to have fun..

This can only be theorised, since we are not kids any more. But hopefully when the yoga practice becomes strong, that is the most important element you invite into yourself.. a childlike state, fearless, flexible, fun-seeking, ability to have fun with oneself without seeking eternal stimuli (that seems to be an adult problem:)...

So, yes, here's to a some smooth scorpion falls...
Remember: the cue is Feet, feet, feet... Front balls of the feet. Back up. Hands where they are, light, open...
