Daily Health Gyan: colour green

I find green tea a bit bitter. Also, I tend to overbrew it when it actually does not require brewing at all .. So, yes, if I have overcome inhibition there .. btw green tea is great for circulation (heart problems), obesity (helps with weight loss and hunger control) and just found out it is good for halitosis also!!

It's known that caffeine causes urinary excretion of calcium. The Journal of the American Medical Association found that "There was a significant association between (drinking more) caffeinated coffee and decreasing bone mineral density at both the hip and the spine in women."

Even refined Sugar is bad for bone density, which is a risk factor for women over 45. But jaggery is safe. In fact, jaggery has a mineral content approximately 50 times greater than refined sugar and five times more than brown sugar. Just a teaspoon of jaggery delivers approximately 3-5 mg of calcium, 3-5 mg phosphorous, 6 mg magnesium, and 45 mg of potassium.
