Daily Health Gyan

The humble pomegranate is said to contain one of the richest collection of antioxidants. The only problem is I feel lazy peeling that hard skin and skimming through the inner skin which keeps popping in the mouth, all bitter. Any body knows any easy way of eating this fruit?

It is rich in antioxidants and prevents:
Bad breath and improves oral health.
Best for heart/circulatory problems.
Prevents plaque in arteries.
Good for osteoarthritis and great for joint healing
Prevents most cancers

Humble Pomegranate? Dont think so bcos its always pricey- at Rs 120 sometimes even upto 140, 170 per kg, especially the coveted dark pink Kabul variety.

There's a simple method to separate the seeds from the fruit skin which you can try. After cutting the fruit into 2-3 chunks, hold each chunk with the outer skin facing up, held above a plate. Knock the skin firmly with the base of utensil used to serve Sambar or rasam (called Karandi in Tamil)and the seeds fall out to the plate below.
