Question hour:

Answer: Actually the legs lock into the elbow -- so unless u have strong legs u cannot hold the pose for long. What gives power to the legs, in such cases, is actually the hips -- as in martial arts. So, it works itself as power from the hips.. which means these parts of your body get toned.

Query: Which part of the body -- and therefore the chakra -- do you actually focus on, in the seated classic forward bend (paschimottanasana)?

Answer, tomorrow:)

In Paschimottanasana, the focus is on the Heart chakra, the Solar plexus and mainly in the Navel Chakra & the Navel region.
According to Hatha Yoga prathipika, this asana stimulates gastric fire - the Jatharagni & thus helps in reduing belly fat, increases metabolism, regulates the pancreas.
