Envy may be used to channelise your emotions, to improve yourself.
Jealousy, on the other hand, corrodes you by making you feel insecure.
In envy, you have seek to control the situation by working on yourself.
In jealousy, you seek to destroy the other person's success by different, silly (dangerous) ways.
I see this all the time, in people, who cannot even make out that they are being bitten by this green slime....
