I am sorry, but I do believe --as I get more exposed to how much disease people suffer from-- that a lot of continued suffering happens from misdiagnosis. For instance, I know so many people being prescribed depression pills.. what if it was hyper parathyroidism that was making them depressed in the first place. In fact, when this ailment hits u, u will begin to lose most of the fun u have from life. You will feel irritable (again, these people are prescribed depression pills:(, suffer from insomnia (will sleeping pills help long-term?), suffer crushing fatigue .. all of which can be simply written off as `bad behavior', but is just a cranky parathyroid gland.
On the physical side, headaches, kidney problems, heart arrhythmia and palpitations, may also be related to an overactive parathyroid gland.
So, at least try to find out more about why you may be feeling in a particular way. Every ailment also has a personality .. nothing may be `mentally' wrong with u. It could be something physical that gets u all knotted ..
