Everyone is conquered by the body. But the yogis conquer the body. Hence how can the fruit of karma, such as pleasure and pain, affect them?
This (yogi's) body is like space, even purer than space, more subtle than the subtle, appearing coarse yet not coarse, insentient yet sentient.
There is nothing left for him to do, nor is he affected by what he does. Having become liberated in life, he is always transparent, free from every blemish.
Yoga Shikha Upanishad.
