Answer time

ANSWER: there are 196 verses, with some versions having an extra verse, in Patanjali's Sutras. However, the actual mention of yogic practices (as in asana/pranayama) are there only in four verses, that too in a general manner. So, whenever some idiot throws Patanjali at me, as if to show off, and says Patanjali says u must not do this or that  in Hatha yoga (non-veg, for instance, or some practice of asana) then I know who is bull-shitting...  The illiterates feel proud that they know there is a sage called Patanjali and they do not care to read what he says.. the amount of ignorance amongst so-called yoga lovers is very intriguing.. it is one of the most advanced mind-technique in the world.. and everything works around that.. including asanas. In yoga limited knowledge is the worst offence...

QUERY: What is the actual reference Rishi Patanjali makes to pranayama...
